Frequently asked questions.
Editorial policy, updates, image rights, and the questions readers send us most often.
Can I book a trip directly through your site?+
No. Travel Websites Directory is editorial, not transactional. We do not run a booking engine or handle reservations. Every guide is written to help you plan, but the actual booking takes place wherever you usually book.
Why don't you include affiliate links?+
Affiliate links bias the writing. The moment a clickable hotel link earns money, the temptation to write favorably about that hotel exists. We removed the temptation by removing the links.
How often are articles updated?+
Every article is revisited at least once a year. Time-sensitive details like ticket prices, opening hours, and seasonal recommendations are checked more frequently. Significant changes update the article in place rather than triggering a separate post.
Can I reuse or republish your guides?+
Short quotes with attribution are welcome. Full or near-full republication is not permitted without written consent. Contact our editorial team for licensing inquiries.
Do you accept guest contributions?+
Not currently. All content is produced by our in-house editorial team to keep tone, structure, and verification standards consistent.
How do you choose destinations?+
Reader requests, returning visitor patterns, seasonal relevance, and the editorial team's own field experience. Roughly a third of new articles come from inbox suggestions.
Do you offer refunds?+
We do not sell travel products, so there is nothing to refund. If a paid service is added in the future, a clear refund policy will be published before launch.
Are your images licensed correctly?+
Yes. We use a combination of editorial photo libraries and curated images from licensed sources. Photographer credits live in the image metadata where required.
How do I suggest a correction?+
Use the contact form or email the editorial address. Corrections are usually applied within two business days. Material corrections include a small note at the bottom of the article.
Do you work with brands or tourism boards?+
No paid partnerships, sponsored placements, or comped trips are accepted. If our partnership policy changes, the change will be disclosed clearly across the site before any related content is published.
